| Cash Protection Services, Inc. (CPS) and how it started:
The Hall family first owned and operated a company that engineered and manufactured sheet metal products. In 1986, Mr. Hall was approached to develop a lock box designed to replace the product then being used in the casino market. The product design review process was focused on developing product criteria that would address a variety of needs. To facilitate this, Mr. Hall enlisted the input of major corporate loss prevention managers during the design process. The final product resulting from this exercise is the foundation for the product line marketed by CPS today.
Variations of the product were supplied to AM/PM mini markets, Jack in the Box restaurants, Ralph's grocery stores and a variety of casinos. The new design provided a platform for direct accountability, saved valuable manager time and provided excellent protection from unauthorized entry.
During the Los Angeles riots in 1992, several stores utilizing the CPS product were looted. In each of these cases, looters were able to steal the main safe, but the CPS units remained in tact and the funds inside were saved.
Since 1986, CPS has grown as a family business by providing cash protection system installation and service to customers in California, Arizona and Nevada, and will continue to grow in order to provide those same services to customers in other areas.
